Pilatus PC-12 Corporate, Commuter and Utility Turboprop The PC-12, Pilatus' trend-setting product for the high performance business and utility category, has proven its place in the market. More than 400 PC-12 have been sold to customers all over the world. A very wide range of customers such as the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, commercial operators and of course many corporate operators recognise the many advantages of this versatile aircraft in providing cost-effective, reliable air transport. The PC-12 with its 330 cubic feet (9.3 m3) cabin is able to operate from short fields and is certified for single-pilot commercial IFR operation.
Propulsion is by a single Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67B 1,605 shp turboprop engine, flat rated to 1,200 shp that enables the aircraft to climb to 30,000 feet and to deliver a cruise speed of 270 KTAS. Maximum range with VFR reserves exceeds 2,000 nm (3,700 km). The PC-12's large pressurised cabin accommodates up to nine passengers or carries cargo of 1,410 kg (3,108 lb), or a combination of both. Alternatively, eight passengers can be seated in first class comfort in the executive configuration creating the perfect environment for business travel.
The aircraft includes a complete IFR avionics installation, EFIS instruments, autopilot system, full de-icing equipment, and as standard equipment a large rear cargo door. The easy access to the large cabin is much appreciated by every air ambulance operator.
