Moscow Radio-Engineering Plant Research and Production Enterprise (NPO MRTZ)
The plant was established in 1900 and till 1945 had been manufacturing cartridges for rifles. During postwar years the plant, after mastering radiotechnical direction, began serial production of air defence missile systems (ADMS), such as Vega, Pechora, Neva, and Volkhov. In the early 1970s the plant initiated serial production of S-300 air defence missile system, which remains the best AMDS in the world and exceeds all foreign analogs. Today MREP being one of the leading enterprises of RACS, at the same time produces ultrasonic equipment, filters of connection for power engineering and a wide nomenclature of energy-saving goods for house needs.
