TYPE: Side-by-side ultralight; two-seat lightplane.

PROGRAMME: First flown (F-WWNO) as VLA, 30 November 2002; had achieved 10 hours in 13 sorties by February 2003. Marketing began in 2003.

CURRENT VERSIONS: VLA: Lightplane. Features include certified Rotax 912 S engine, Evra propeller, electric elevator trim, Cleveland hydraulic brakes and tyres, and standard fit of artificial horizon, GPS, transponder and navigation lights. Marketing from early 2004.
ULM: Ultralight. Rotax 912 ULS engine, Duc propeller, 8.00x6 tyres with Grimeca hydraulic brakes and manual elevator trim. Empty weight 275 kg (606 lb). POC prototype flown third quarter of 2003.
Kit: Experimental category; engines up to 89.5 kW (120 hp) and 650 kg (1,433 lb) MTOW. Marketing from late 2004.

COSTS: VLA €88,000, including tax, complete. ULM €55,000, including tax, complete. Kit approximately €30,000, excluding engine (2003).

DESIGN FEATURES: Rugged lightplane with extensive glazing. Braced, high-wing monoplane; mid-mounted tailplane and sharply tapered fin; long mainwheel legs.
Wing section NACA 23015; tailplane section NACA 0010.

FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual. All-moving tailplane with electrically actuated, full-span anti-balance tab. (Initially flown with full-span flaperons which replaced by mid-2003). Actuation by pushrods (elevator) and cables.

STRUCTURE: Fuselage structure of welded 4130 steel tube in cabin area, and aluminium 5086. Wing aluminium 5086 with Diatex 1500EV3 fabric covering. Polyester engine cowling. Composites wingtips.

LANDING GEAR: Tailwheel type; fixed. Levered mainwheels with oleo shock-absorbers. Cleveland 6.00-6 mainwheels (8.00-6 optional) and Cleveland hydraulic disc brakes. Solid tailwheel; steerable.

POWER PLANT: One 73.5 kW (98.6 hp) Rotax 912S or 912 ULS flat-four driving an Evra two-blade, fixed pitch, wooden or Duc propeller. Fuel tank behind seats; capacity 70 litres (18.5 US gallons; 15.4 Imp gallons).

SYSTEMS: 17 Ah battery and 20 A generator.

AVIONICS: Comms: Bendix/King KY 97 radio and Flightcom 403MC intercom. Kannad 406AF ELT.
Flight: Garmin 295 GPS.

EQUIPMENT: BRS 1050 ballistic parachute optional.
