The company was founded in 1998. Its major line of activity is development of software for aircraft simulators.
Initially based on the premises of the Central Aerohydrodynamics Institute (TsAGI), the company has over the past decade joined in on projects led by the Aerospace Medicine Institute (IAKM), Institute of Aircraft Equipment (NIIAO), Chkalov State Flight Research Centre (GLITs), Flight Research Institute (LII) and other organizations. In particular, Constanta Design specialists have developed software for the pilot's workstation currently in service with the Russian Air Force. Company specialists have also taken part in developing an imaging system for Kamov Company's Ka-50 demonstration simulator. Constanta Design has repeatedly upgraded the IAKM navigation simulator.
The company has recently developed software for Sukhoi's Simulation and Modeling System. Constanta Design is currently participating in introduction of out-thecockpit imagery and cockpit indication systems for integrated simulators by the MiG Corporation and TsAGI.
Company personnel have extensive expertise in development of software for aircraft simulators. They have developed a unique software system, based solely on indigenous innovations, that takes imaging systems and modeling preparation, implementation and analysis systems to a new level.
