In the February of 1948 within the USSR Ministry of Aviation Industry a factory OKB-305 was set up, which was later renamed Agregat. To facilitate manufacture of products developed by Agregat, Aviatsionnaya Armatura was established. The factory has developed more than 700 assemblies of airborne systems, which are used in all types of aircraft and engines, as well as in the latest models:
– Tu-160 – 90 titles;
– Tu-204, Tu-214 – 78 titles;
– Tu-334 – 52 titles;
– Il-96-300 – 54 titles;
– Be-200 – 40 titles;
– Su-27 – 54 titles.
The assemblies of the factory were used in the hydropneumatic system of the Buran spacecraft. The factory is the developer of the cryogenic assemblies' gravity fuel system engines for Tu-155 planes, which burn liquid hydrogen, and Tu-156 aircraft that burn liquid natural gas.
