AVIONS DE TRANSPORT REGIONAL INTEGRATED
ATR is the reference in the regional air transport market in the 40 to 70 seat segment. Its ATR 42 (46 –50 seats) and ATR 72 (66 – 72 seats) are the perfect on short-haul routes around the world. ATR has become the leader in the turboprops category by offering a reliable, easy to maintain and comfortable aircraft to airlines operating on the regional air transport market, at a cost well below its competitors.
Benefiting from the resources of world class aerospace companies, Alenia Aeronautica and EADS, who each have a 50% share in the ATR program, ATR is able to apply the latest technologies. In fact, ATR aircraft are a combination of the best technical solutions optimizing operating costs and passenger appeal. The ATR benefits from the widest cabin in the regional market (seat width equivalent to a Boeing 737).
ATR offers environment friendly characteristics. All ATR models are compliant with existing noise regulations and have a large margin with regards to future noise regulations or more stringent airport restrictions.
The ATR has been type-certified in the Russian Federation in October 1998 and obtained the cold-weather additional certification (down to –52°C) in February 1999, extremely suitable for the operations in several Russian regions.
To date, ATR has sold 673 aircraft (372 ATR 42s and 301 ATR 72s) to 110 airlines in 72 countries in the five continents.
